Heila has always pushed the envelope in foldable telescopic cranes: first to supply a 340 tm knuckle boom telescopic crane, first with a 460 tm dredging crane, first with a 580 tm crane. The natural next step was breaking the 1,000 tm barrier — achieved with the HLRM 1000-6S in 2018.

The numbers speak for themselves: 14,300 kg at a reach of almost 30 metres, and 52,500 kg at 13.4 metres. Despite its small footprint, the HLRM 1000-6SL is a high-capacity 70-ton crane with a telescopic arm extending to a maximum radius of 30 metres — yet it remains compact in storage position.

Combined with options including Active Heave Compensation (AHC), AOPS and MOPS, it is a cost-effective, highly versatile tool suitable for many offshore activities, greatly reducing vessel mobilisation time. The offshore equivalent of a big Swiss army knife.
